Vivienne Leung joined the Institute in 1996. She has coordinated the program and field experience components of the Pre-service CE (ECE) from 2000-2004. Her research has been related to the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in learning and teaching, specifically in preschool settings. Additionally, she has researched the use of portfolio assessment for young children and one of her QEF projects with kindergartens was related to an investigation of teachers’ perception in using portfolios to promote learning. Her teaching areas include 'Learning and Teaching in Early Childhood Education', 'Early Childhood Curriculum: Theory and Practice' and 'Information and Communication Technologies in Early Childhood Curriculum. She has been a practicum supervisor of both in-service and pre-service students of Early Childhood programs.

Vivienne Leung has been a consultant with EVI Education Service since 1999. She was a member of the conference committee for the Seventh International OMEP conference held in Hong Kong in 2008 and is currently on the conference committee for the Seventeen International Conference on Learning to be held in Hong Kong in July of 2010.
