Siu-yau Lee is Associate Professor in the Department of Asian and Policy Studies, Education University of Hong Kong. His research focuses primarily on institutions and institutional change, inter-group relations and Chinese politics. Funded by the Swire Educational Trust, his research explores how language policies and regulations in China have evolved over time.
He earned his DPhil in Politics and MSc in Modern Chinese Studies (Distinction) from the University of Oxford, where he received several awards for his research. Prior to joining the Department of Asian and Policy Studies, he was Assistant Professor at Centennial College.
