Study Abroad and Human Capital Development: China's Strategies to Compete for Global Talents

The project is a policy study focusing on China’s study abroad and brain gain policies. It analyzes the relationship between the state, market, higher education and international education relations in the interdisciplinary fields of higher education, social sciences, China studies, and global studies. It re-examines the major theoretical frameworks for understanding education abroad, international academic mobility and human capital formation for national development in an globalized world.
