Utilising students' mother tongue to enhance students' learning in EMI courses: Phase III

Utilizing students’ mother tongue as learning resources enhances students’ cognitive and affective engagement with learning and induces deeper level of learning. Accordingly, the PI wants to provide mother tongue support through translating the PowerPoint slides and the handouts for an EMI module to be taught as well as providing bi-/tri-lingual video clips. The materials with the support of the mother tongue will ensure the equity of education; in particular, by making sure that the needs of learners with limited English proficiency are addressed.
