Preparing Professionally Competent Teachers and Beyond: Constructing a Theoretical Framework for Initial Teacher Education

Research into student teachers’ professional learning has traditionally focused on the university – school environment. Education systems around the world are paying unprecedented attention to teacher quality. The project aims at examining the relationship between pre-service student teachers’ professional competence, teacher buoyancy and their professional learning experiences in initial teacher education.
